ClearSong
Several times a year, ClearSong, the
adult choir gathers to rehearse and participate in Sunday
worship services. Our Fall Series represents the first of
the season, followed by a Christmas program and an Easter
program in 2007. All of these events are separate and are
spaced by a few weeks of free time between each.
Participation in any or all of the events is encouraged and
welcomed. You do not have to commit to all the Choir events
in order to participate. We meet in the Worship Center at
6:30pm. There is no audition, and you don't have to read
music. All it takes is a passion for worship and a desire to
be a part of a group of people who love to sing and have
fun. You'll receive a CD of all the songs to make learning
easier.
Child care is provided for all ClearSong
events including Thursday evening rehearsals.
This year, based on your suggestions, we
redesigned the fall choir schedule to allow for more
participation in our Sunday Worship services, and scaled
back on some of the rehearsal time. Our goal is to make the
choir experience as rewarding as possible.
Praise Team
The praise team consists of two groups
that alternate singing for Sunday worship, as well as
representing ClearBranch at civic events, revivals, and
conferences. Placement in the praise team is by audition
which take place on an annual basis. Candidates will asked
to perform two solo selections and will be judged on vocal
performance, the ability to sing harmony and blend with
others, stage presence, and have a clear testimony of
salvation. The ability to read music is not required,
although helpful. Successful applicants will be required to
attend weekly rehearsals and Sunday services.
Worship Band
If
you are skilled at playing an instrument and would like to
become a involved, positions are open periodically by
audition. Guitar, keyboard and bass players will be expected
to read basic chord charts, drummers will be asked to play
several different rhythm styles. Brass, wind and string
players should be prepared to play a solo piece of their
choosing and will be asked to sightread a simple music
piece. Successful applicants will be required to attend
weekly rehearsals and Sunday services.
