Looking for Adventure or a Blessing? Join us on an exciting adventure of Christian service to Lima, Peru, May 31st to June 8th. There is still room to reserve a place on this trip which will provide medical assistance to impoverished people and help in the completion of an important facility in the mission compound. We have to have a firm count of those going by March 1st. Contact Ron Bunch at rbunch7669@charter.net or call him at 655-5365 for more information.

Sending People For Christ is the ClearBranch vision for our mandate to take the good news of Christ to the world with our hands and feet. ClearBranch, from its beginning, has been sending its people locally, nationally and internationally to people whose basic needs for food, clothing, shelter, health care, and a place to worship are not being met.

Ongoing local ministries include feeding homeless people, supporting local area mission efforts that provide food, clothes and assistance to indigent persons (see T.E.A.M. below), and Christmas projects for needy families with children. A group of ClearBranch volunteers repairs the homes of people in our area who lack the means or ability to help themselves.

ClearBranch has been active in providing aid and construction services to Gulf Coast areas damaged by Katrina. Additionally, each summer a volunteer group travels to Tennessee to do home repairs and ministry in poor rural areas.

Several times a year, mission teams travel to Mexico to build neighborhood churches with Mega Missions, a local mission organization that has built almost 100 churches in Victoria City, near Tampico. Medical/dental mission trips are also part of the church’s efforts in this area. Over the past ten years, ClearBranch has participated in mission trips to Peru, Romania, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean.

Trussville Ecumenical Assistive Ministry (T.E.A.M.)

Scripture demands our personal involvement in caring for others' needs. Jesus says our response to the poor is our response to Him. ClearBranch answers the call to feed and clothe the poor through their participation in the Trussville Ecumenical Assistive Ministry (T.E.A.M.).

T.E.A.M. is a non-profit organization formed with the purpose of identifying, addressing and alleviating the spiritual and physical needs of individuals and families in our community, while encouraging and facilitating their self-sufficiency. The organization is supported by seven area churches:

ClearBranch United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church - Trussville

Eastminster Presbyterian Church Holy Cross Episcopal Church

First Baptist Church - Trussville Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church

T.E.A.M. is governed by a board of directors with representation from each member church. Member churches share the cost of T.E.A.M., supplemented with donations from individuals, community and civic organizations. The following types of services are offered:

Food and clothing assistance.

Utility services.

Emergency traveler assistance for persons who come through our community.

Networking and referral of support agencies for churches.

T.E.A.M. is totally dependent on volunteers to carry out the daily operation of service.  You can help by:

Offering your services as a volunteer. Volunteers are needed to sort clothes, distribute food, and interview recipients.

Providing referrals to T.E.A.M. for those needing assistance.

Donating food to the T.E.A.M. pantry through church food drives.

Donating clothes in good condition.

Contributing financially to T.E.A.M.

T.E.A.M. is located at 2030B Gadsden Highway in Trussville (phone 661-5039). Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12 noon - 2:00 p.m., and Thursday evenings, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. For more information concerning T.E.A.M. contact the church office at 655-9414.
